Baking Head in Cinema 4D

This tip uses: camera mapping, texture tag, bake texture tag, photoshop, body paint

Here is another quick and crude example of baking a camera mapped texture of Russell Crowe’s head using the bake texture tag. This method can be used to fill in the areas that camera mapping can miss using the photoshop stamp tool. Apologies for the appalling photoshop work, this video is purely intended to show the process, in reality, you would spend a lot more time on this.

At Munk Studios we do a lot of camera mapping and are always on the lookout for good camera mapping skills, so if this is something you are good at, please get in touch.

This silent tip is a part of an ongoing series of 5 minute demonstrations showing techniques and tricks I have found or used for different purposes. You will need some kind of knowledge of Cinema 4D to follow what is going on, but the idea is to show how quickly you can solve problems using the C4d toolset.
